Celebrating Success: A Look Back at our Remarkable 2023

What a year 2023 was – we had the pleasure of styling 120 properties for sale and we sourced and purchased furniture for 10 different Styling to Live clients!

2023 started with Phoebe attending a business retreat in QLD alongside 8 other creative business owners from across the country who are all mentored by business coach Kate Addamo. It was such a wonderful and inspiring retreat and it set up the year perfectly for Phoebe who brought back so many fresh ideas to implement!

Without a doubt the highlight of 2023 was being awarded the Federation University Commerce Ballarat Newcomer Business Excellence Award in August! It was such an honour to be recognised for all of the hard work that has gone into building the business and the brand over the past five years. It was such a surprise to win and we had the best night celebrating!

In October we were the main sponsor of the Olive Interior Ladies Race Day held at the Ballarat Turf Club. It was such a great turnout, with 150 ladies attending, which made it their biggest Ladies Day yet! Many Ballarat business women were interviewed (including Phoebe), Lucinda Boutique Dress Hire held a fashion parade and a lovely long lunch was enjoyed by all!

We enjoyed a couple of buying trips to Melbourne throughout the year as a team where we purchased some beautiful new stock to add to our ever growing inventory!

Sadly our warehouse flooded on the evening of Melbourne Cup when Ballarat experienced a heavy freak storm. We lost some of our beautiful stock but luckily everything was covered by insurance. The clean up was messy but in true Olive spirit we rallied as a team and ensured that every install that was scheduled after the flood didn’t get postponed or affected in anyway.
